Artist Statement
My painting is meaningful chaos, disturbed reality and twisted orderliness. It manifests my conscious life, inspired by the contrast of actions and thoughts, saturated with the color of experience and actions deepened by gestural skills, knowledge and instinctive behavior.
I began with portraits and graffiti, pastels and fusain, then my interest went to nudes and sanguine. Later, I discovered acrylics, which require a quick and decisive action. Only in oil paints, in their properties and blends with other ingredients, have I found a measuredness that helps me create emotional paintings full of vibrancy of contrast and color.
Willem de Kooning, Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, René Magritte, Jean Miró, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, Gerhard Richter, Franz Klein - these contemporary art figures have had a significant influence on me and my development in the arts.
